I am new to 365 and need a couple of pointers.
Firstly, does anyone know haw to get the Office Web App icons to display on the homepage under Teamsite when logging on to Office 365?
Secondly, is there a way to allow a user to see a link back to their 365 Homepage from the Teamsite? I can only seem to have to use the back button on the browser to do this.

If you are in a P1 Plan, go to where the icons are(Home), and you can right click the title of each of the icons, and say copy shortcut, best to past it into notepad for now. Ok Now get or create 4 icons and drop them onto the page you want to insert this on, last add a hyperlink below, and copy the code you pasted into notepad earlier to that link. Not that you may need to change the link depending where it you wish to put them, it by default points to teamsite/documents so if you want to insert the links somewhere else you will need to change that, so it may become teamsite/accounting/documents.

@Steve- The method that was explained by Robert is a great way to create links to making new documents. This solution could also be used in the top link or side link bars to open the respective Web Apps. Out of the box there is no built in web part to add to the page that will include the icons. The only way to have them built into the page is to create another Express Team Site and then they will appear in the Documents section. Let us know if you have any further questions.
