Limitations of E3 MS Office License and the 5 computers per user

This question has suggested answer(s) This question has suggested answer(s)

Hi,

I'm trying to find out whether the following is possible.

Total of 6 users

4x e1 plan

2x e3 plan

Using the 2x office licenses from the E3 plans, can I install MS Office on all 6 workstations as it states "5 installs per user"?

Many thanks,

Nigel

  • Hi Nigel,

Actually, each license allows a user to install Office Professional Plus on up to 5 simultaneous machines. However, if a user installs Office Pro Plus on a machine, then the other user wants to connect his/her account to Office 365 Online Services on the machine, an activation issue may occur after a period of time.

For more information about Office Professional Plus for Office 365 activation, please refer to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg982959.aspx
