  • Hello Tjbooker,

    Thank you for your clarification.

For this situation, I suggest you to migrate all emails from Yahoo to Office 365 with Connected Account feature in Office 365. However, you will need to recreate your folder hierarchy in Office 365. Currently, there is no option to move the folder hierarchy from thunderbird to Exchange online. To do this,

    1. Access your mailbox in Office 365 at http://mail.office365.com/.

    2. Connect your Yahoo mailbox as a Connected Account referring to steps below.

       Learn About Connected Accounts

Note: You can use Inbox Rules to sort downloaded Messages.

    3. Recreate the folder hierarchy under your mailbox in Office 365.

    4. Add an IMAP account for your Office 365 mailbox in thunderbird client.

       Using POP3 and IMAP4 E-Mail Programs

  • Hello Tjbooker,

Do you want to migrate emails (include folders) in your mailbox to Office 365? Do you have mail server in your on-premise domain (or on hosting provider)?

If yes, I suggest you migrate emails from your mailbox to Office 365 with IMAP migration. IMAP Migration provides organizations with an effective way to move from an IMAP messaging system to a Office 365. For detailed steps about how to move emails with IMAP migration, please refer to article below.
