Email is getting blocked by spam blockers because of BigFish

This question has suggested answer(s) This question has suggested answer(s)

We recently moved our domain to Microsoft and switched from a self-hosted Exchange to Office365. Most everything is going well, but many of our clients are government agencies. We are now getting blocked by spam blockers and it has been traced to the fact that the email seems to be going through Bigfish.com. What can Microsoft do to help avoid spam since it comes from their own servers?

  • My organization is having similar problems, with our mail being junked and assigned a SCL of 9 automatically, presumably due to bigfish.com.  How do I contact FOPE to get this resolved?

  • Hello Mike,

Do you mean that all emails you received are delivered into the Junk E-mails folder? To help to resolve your problem more effetely, I suggest you create a new question in the forum and post back with a mail header of one junk emails.

    Thank you.

  • We have just moved to O 365 and have the same problem - - so far, I have had emails blocked to two domains: vi.net and onzone.com - - both saying something like "Received: from mail74-db3-R.bigfish.com". It looks as though ) 365 clients have been complaining about this crucial issue for months but nothing has been done. Is there a solution to this?

    Regards,   NRSP

  • Hi NRSP,

    Thanks for your reply.

If you encountered the same issue and still could not make it work, I would suggest you post a new thread about the detailed information of the issue you encountered and the steps you have done to resolve it, this is so we could focus on your questions and provide more specific solutions for you.

    Thanks,
    Anna Guo
