I did not catch that somehow the country field on my trial was set to the wrong value (Brazil instead of the United States) and I'm already far along in setting everything up, including Exchange, mailboxes, and my own domain.
I now find that I'm apparently unable to proceed with the subscription because I'm not based in Brazil and there's no way to change the country. My question is simply this: Is there a way to migrate all of my data, settings and so forth?
If not, what happens with my domain and current email if I start another test?
Am I truly screwed, as I appear to be?
Thanks for the feedback.
I understand that you selected the wrong country to associate with your Office 365 trial. I will be more than happy to address your concerns.
Once you choose your country that country is locked in due to system design and record keeping. You will need to sign up for a new subscription. As for your vanity domain please follow the steps below:
Logon to the Microsoft Online Services Portal with your MOS ID
If your domain can’t be removed at this time, the domain’s status is shown as Pending removal on the Domains page. If this status persists, try again to remove the domain. If you continue to have issues with removing your domain please contact Office 365 Technical Support by phone or by opening a service request (see link below).
If you are trying to release your tenant domain (.onmicrosoft.com) for your Office 365 plan. You can contact the billing and subscription department directly over the phone or by way of opening a service request by following the instructions from the following article:
To get assistance with migrating your data please open a Service Request with our Technical Support team (see link above).
You can release your domain by following the steps mentioned above and you can download and then upload your Office 365 Exchange data to your new Office 365 trial.
I hope this addressed your question.
