I can not get my domain verified for office 365 I have checked all the records at Melborn IT and all looks good the NSlookup shows it is there but verify says not found. I have been without a business website and emails for almost 3 weeks please help. Domain is KansasCityRoofingSidingWindows.com. THe Office live site support says everything looks good up to the verify and they then sent me here.

  • It looks right  - the only thing I can think of is to try again with a fresh txt record which should be possible to get.  Or try the alternate MX method.
  • Hi Curt365,

I agree with Mch. You can try to delete and create a new TXT record without a dot at the end of the value.

In addition, please refer to the video in the following Wiki to get more information about moving domain to Office 365:

  • Hi Curt365,

Has your domain been verified successfully now?

    Thanks,

I can see that you haven't moved your domain name to Office 365 yet.

                            See http://who.is/dns/kansascityroofingsidingwindows.com/
                            and http://kansascityroofingsidingwindows.com

I would like to recommend that you remove the domain name and start again.

Remove the custom domain on Domains page. (Admin >> Management > Domains)

Re-run the "Adding Domain" wizard and closely follow the steps starting with Area/Step 10 (at 5:40 in the Video) at http://www.builditon365.com/Pages/MoveOLSBdnTo365.aspx

  • Thanks for all the input I have finally reached MSN 365 support and they have escalated my issue as I have a restricted word in my domain name yes windows is restricted even though I have had the name on Office live for 4 to 5 yrs. go figure.. hopefully the powers to be will approve it since all my adds point to this name

Thanks again I guess next step will be to not use office 365 to keep my name.
