Public folder on Outlook 2007

  • As I know, Office 365 doesn't support public folder anymore, and it will be replace by SharePoint folder.

I've created a document list in SharePoint, and connect it to Outlook 2007. However, I've found that I've only "Read Only" permission on that list, and can't move any e-mail to this folder in Outlook 2007. I'm sure that I've the Full Control right on this list and I'm using a Admin account.

    What's the problem?

  • Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for sharing with this issue.

As your description, the document list only have the“Read Only” permission. You can create a “Shared Mailbox” instead of document list if you want to synchronize emails that in the Outlook to MOP(Microsoft Online Portal).

A shared mailbox is a mailbox that multiple users can open to read and send e-mail messages. Shared mailboxes allow a group of users to view and send e-mail from a common mailbox. Please refer the following article to set up Shared Mailbox in ECP.
