Q: Can I view PDF files and HTM files in the browser? Can I integrate CRM 2011 with Sharepoint Online?
A: No and No.
Permissive Browser File Handling Needed
Sharepoint Online in O365 beta does not have the option to set Browser File Handling = Permissive.
Sharepoint Online in O365 beta does not have the option to allow additional file extensions.
The following scenerios don't work as a result of these:
Document libraries:
1) Can't open PDF files in browser. Must download, save then open with pdf reader locally.

2) Can't display HTM, HTML files in browser.

3) might affect flash objects

CRM:
1) Can't integrate MS CRM 2011 Online with Sharepoint Online. This requires permissive and .htc file extension be added to allowed extensions.

Then state the problem: I need to view PDF files and HTM files in the browser.
or
I need to enable sharepoint online integration with CRM.
These require 2 server side changes which are not available presently in SP Online Admin Center:
1) Browser File Handling set to Permissive.
2) .htc file extension added to allowed extensions.
Here is a link to a couple pages of threads that involve this issue (there are more than these):

I’m astounded these features are not enabled currently. This HAS to be resolved by GA. I have several customers that WILL NOT move forward with the way PDF's are currently handled. Please enable permissive and allow .htc ext.
I also need this functionality "Permissive Browser File Handling" how or when it can be enabled?
PDF Solution to open in browser:

I installed the template, but when trying to create a new site using the template I get the following error:
"The Site template requires that the Feature {068bc832-4951-11dc-8314-0800200c9a66} be activated in the site collection."
Any ideas on that?
Just throwing in my 2 cents. Not having the ability to set permissive file handling is making my life more difficult.
