Office 365 ProPlus, the new version of the Office desktop apps Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and more, is available today for existing Office 365 customers. This article documents one of the ways to install Office 365 ProPlus for Office 365 pre-upgrade tenants. Make sure you read the main article before going too far.
In this case, you are downloading Office 365 ProPlus, adding it to your software distribution environment (such as System Center Configuration Manager 2012 or other tools able to distribute software), and advertising or “pushing” the installation on behalf of end users with that infrastructure. Many medium-to-large organizations have used this approach to install previous versions of Office desktop applications.
The additional benefit to this approach is that you can perform the installation (step 4, below) without an Internet connection. There are five primary steps required to download, install and activate Office 365 ProPlus using this approach. The sample xml below will install the latest Office 365 ProPlus version in EN-US language in 32-bit architecture with auto-updating turned on.
Before you install Office 365 ProPlus, review the system requirements. Installing Office 365 ProPlus on Windows XP or Windows Vista is not supported.
To download Office 365 ProPlus by using the Office Deployment Tool, follow these steps.
