I am a one man business using 2 x MS365. My laptop needed repair and was given a temp loan - to keep working I downloaded a temp licence of office including outlook. Before returning the loan PC, I uninstalled all the office app's (inc outlook) whilst the PC was still online. I have now re-synched my own PC and have lost a lot of emails from both MS 365 accounts and suspect that the uninstall of office / outlook has delete the outlook data file, which has synched to exchange and then synched to my own laptop - effectively I have lost a lot of important historical emails.

Is there a recent backup in MS 365 that I can access?

To make matters worse - Samsung have fixed one problem with my laptop and given me 2 new problems free of charge as part of the service.

Forum Post: Re: Can't Perform The Requested Operation - IMAP to O365 Exchange migration

As said before. We have been using a calendar in a public folder to track out of office and large events. Allow the WF to be manually started

2. Start the WF automatically upon item creation

3. Start the WF automatically upon item change (beware this can create a looping effect unless you are careful)

In your situation, the option I'd choose would be number 2 - to start the workflow when the document is first saved after creation. I would not include any form of Condition in the WF, but what I would include is an Action which is a 'Pause until Date' option. The inclusion of this type of element (either Pause until date = date, or Pause until field 1 has a certain value etc), means that the WF will initiate when it is first saved into the Library/list THEN pause or wait until the match occurs and then it continues.

Obviously in your situation, you would change the Date element of the Pause until to be the DueDateAlert field, and the system should do the rest - waiting until the date happens, and then it will continue on with the rest of the Workflow which would be to email people etc. However if you are using a calculated column in SharePoint, they sometimes create a difficulty unless you are very careful in the way you create the column type. Sometimes date & time fields can't be seen in the field drop-downs of SPD WF so to make that whole problem vanish, use an 'Add Time to Date' action, in the WF where you add a minus number ( e.g. -3) to the DueDate value. Then you can use that variable in the Pause Until action.

But lets be specific here - you do not need to include a 'Condition' for the step in any way, as the 'Pause until......' becomes the condition.

I hope the above helps and gives you a start point for your thinking, however please ask further questions if you need some assistance.

Regards Alan C.

Forum Post: Re: Autodiscover is not working, despite DNS configured correctly

Is Signal Sign-On still working in your scenario?
