In February, Chase answered a couple of problems with OLSB transition. I'm having the same problems:
First: 42ballrat wrote: "I have just set up my email accounts in outlook with outlook connector latest version downloaded and for some reason my folder for emails including inbox sent etc are not there. I get the mesage "The set of folders cannot be opened. The file etc etc etc.ost is not an offline folder file" Please help"
Chase recommended he delete the .ost file and it would be recreated. I tried that and this has not happened in Outlook 2007. I get the "set of folders cannot be opened" pop-up but with a "file not found" message.
Second: Jan McGowan wrote: "I'm following the instructions for transitioning and am having the same problem. Instructions say to download Outlook connector in order to move your OLSB account if you are using Outlook 2007. I can see the new account in the navigation pane but get this message when I try to open or expand it. I've removed and re-installed the folder 3 or 4 times with no success. I also notice that an Outlook Connector box pops up asking me to enter my password twice when I open Outlook now. I went to the file listed below but see nothing with .OST listed. Any other ideas?"

The other two links seem fine but everytime I try to access this one, it sends me to the Windows Live ID sign on screen, which either tells me I cannot sign in from this application or does not recognize my user ID. (I've checked: I can sign into Windows Live, OLSB, or Office 365 from elsewhere.) If this is my solution, how do I access the link?
(Note: I would have responsed directly to that thread but there seemed no way to do that. I assumed it's closed somehow.)
Do you mean that you failed to access your mailbox in Office 365 with Outlook 2007? Is there any error message when connecting Outlook 2007 to Exchange Online?
To help you to move emails from OLSB to Office 365, please try steps below and check if the issue can be fixed.
1. Run the "Set up and configure your Office desktop apps" on client computer by clicking Download in MOP at https://portal.microsoftonline.com.
2. Create a new outlook profile by clicking Control Panel -> Mail -> Show Profiles -> "Add".
3. Follow the article below to add your Office 365 mailbox into the Outlook 2007.

4. Add your OLSB account into Outlook 2007 as well.
5. Refer to steps 5-6 & 7 in self-transition guide to move your emails from OLSB to Office 365.
Do you mean that you can access your mailbox in OLSB via OWA, but Outlook 2007? Can you access your mailbox in Office 365 with Outlook client properly?
To narrow down the problem, please try the steps below and check what happens.
1. Make sure you can access your mailbox in OLSB via OWA properly first.
3. Add your OLSB email account into Outlook 2007. Once you can access your OLSB mailbox with Outlook 2007, please refer to steps below to move your emails to Office 365 by exporting/importing .pst file.

Sorry to be so long to reply; getting into E-mails or the community has been difficult..
I have never used OWA, unless you mean logging on to Office 365: I can access the Office 365 mail there which is how I am getting this. I can access my existing OLSB mail via Outlook Connector. I cannot access the new Office Live mail on Outlook. I followed the instructions in the Transition Guide. I can see the mailbox but cannot access any folders. When I try, I still get a pop-up with an error message: "The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Mcrosoft\Outlook\david3.ost is not an offline folder file". Yet, when I look for the file, it is definitely created when I add an account.
No; remember my problem is to use Outlook Connector according to the transition guide. The Guide says I should move these into the new Office 365 account on Outlook 2007 as the first step of moving them to Office 365. But I cannot open or access the new account.
