I'd like a resolution to the issue raised in other posts regarding this error when synchronizing a SharePoint workspace to Office365 document libraries:

Data in this list references content type "", which is no longer in the list schema.

I am using fully licensed and updated versions of:  Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, Sharepoint Workspace 14.0.6112.5000

The document library contains no .CSV files, no OneNote files, and no empty folders.  Other site assets and lists are successfully synchronizing.

This issue does not appear to be resolved here:

or here:

The user need that I am trying to solve is to synchronize Office365 Teamsite document libraries and site content with a local copy. Is there another way? Please help! Without a local offline synch, the value of Office365 is severely diminished.

  • I would move the files individually (not the folders) into another doc library and then try to sync to that. Sounds like you COULD have corrupted files in that library.

  • Hello DSD2,

This is Jason Burnside from Microsoft Office365 SharePoint Support.

Thanks for coming to the communities with your concerns about resolving your SharePoint Workspace error.

    1. Have you attempted to repair Microsoft Office?
    2. Have you attempted to delete the list and re-sync the list from your SharePoint Online site?

I will continue to monitor this thread if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,

  • Thanks for your quick reply Jason and I appreciate your working to resolve this.

      1. I took your suggestion and repaired MS Office. The repair seemed to proceed and complete successfully.
      2. I have deleted all of the documents in the Workspace copy of "Documents". I could not delete Documents itself.

The synch failed with the same error message.

I have modified other Lists and I have another Sharepoint Workspace with a Documents library that synchs just fine with Office 365, so it does seem to relate to the properties of that folder.

I am not able to add a New Document to the Documents libary in the workspace and I am also not able to upload to it whether I am on-line or working off-line.

    What now?

  • Thanks adminuserideal.

I removed all the documents from Workspace and Sharepoint and added them back in groups and narrowed the problem down to a specific PowerPoint file.  I have no idea why.  The file seems fine by any other test.

    The message this time was:

Data in this list references content type "0x010100FA2E53E037C18845AA10BA269B7F5DA1005347C33A39E35245BE66BE167205E741", which is no longer in the list schema.

So for now I am synchronizing but I remain a bit cautious that this will continue to be stable and reliable. Thanks everyone.
