Is there a way to auto assign licenses for all people synced over?  For example if a new user is created, I would like them to automatically be set up with a license to use the services.

As I understand, with Dirsync deployed, you prefer the synchronized users can be given certain license automatically. Am I right?

Based on my experience, this target can’t be achieved in Office 365. There are some limitations I can think if this feature is available. For example, even if this feature is available, it can’t decide which licenses should be assigned to one user. In addition, in a hybrid condition, the automatic process would assign licenses to on-premise users, this would waste licenses and cause problems. Therefore, the manually license assignment process is more effectively.
