Hi folks,
I am figuring this feauture out for one of my clients (E3 office pro installed):
With SharePoint Workspace (synced with libraries) users are able to open and save documents in/to a SharePoint library fromout for example Word 2010 (save as, select teamsite/library).
When a user would like to attach a document from a SP library, he is not able to search in explorer if he clicks on 'attachment' in the new e-mail.
Even when he wants to save (save as) an attachment (reveived by mail), he is not able to select in the explorer windows that po ups, the teamsite or library (we can only see local hd, etc and sharepoint sites.
Are we missing an plugin or is it just impossible to save and open docs as he is used to work with SP Workspace integrated in Word?
Hello Chrisvr,

This forum is for issues regarding the SharePoint Online in the browser product for Office 365. As a result, the SharePoint Workspace product is outside the support scope of this team and we may not be familiar with the functionality. However, please review this suggestion.
I am not aware of a way to attach files from your workspace in Outlook. I do know that you can enter the name of the document library path (ex. https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/shared documents) on the Insert File dialog that pops up when you attempt to attach a file. So long as the user is logged into SharePoint Online it will show the list of files and allow you to attach.
