We have a client who is still using LM2007. We are trying to create a captioning solution for them using the Streaming Media Custom Frame, but it does not seem to be available in Lync.
I figure they will eventually be moved over to Lync, so I have three questions:
1) What live captioning options are available in Lync
2) Where can I set up a Live Meeting test environment to create this solution for my client?
3) When will LM2007 be completely replaced by Lync?
thanks for your assistance.
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
As far as I know, it’s not available to configure captioning options (Relay Conference Captioning) in Lync client. Regarding the question about setup a Live Meeting test environment to create the similar solution for your user and the Live Meeting 2007 lifecycle issue, you can confirm the information in http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/livemeeting.
If you have a question about using Office 365 service in the future, you can post a question in Office 365 forum.
Thanks, Monica Tong
Thanks Monica,
I just find it hard to believe that Microsoft would develop such a robust online conferencing solution with no accessibility features. Considering all of the pending legislation around these issues, I find it somewhat short-sighted.
Thank you for your reply.
