Learn more about Office 365
Dear All,
I have successfully downloaded the Lync preview, and Lync 2010, but I cannot get either to connect successfully.
Lync reports (after allowing me to enter the sign on name, and user name) "Username or password on domain appears to be incorrect, please ensure you entered them correctly. If the problem continues, please please contact your support team"
Looking at other posts suggests that I should see an option to enable Lync in the admin console, but I see only options for office and sharepoint.
Is my preview account missing lync? (domain is dandc.onmicrosoft.com)
Appreciate any advice you can give.
many Thanks,
Hi MountainKing,
Based on your description, I understand that when you sign in Lync you received an error message "Username or password on domain appears to be incorrect, please ensure you entered them correctly. If the problem continues, please please contact your support team".
For the issue about Lync 2010, I want to confirm whether you have add the required records in your domain register? If not, please refer to the link below to complete this:

For the issue about Lync preview 2010, I want to know which subscription of Office 365 preview are you using? If you use Office 365 for Pro Plus, please note that only Office service is available in Office 365 for Pro Plus. Please register Office 365 for Small business or Office 365 for enterprise to Use Lync 2010 preview.

Hi Linda,
I had a chat with my Microsoft account manager - Lync was missing from the trial I signed up to - she has now given me an account that gives all the full Enterprise functions.
Thanks for keeping tabs!
