Hi!
I would like to know a way to block my users from accessing MSN Messenger software, with usernames @nuvemtecnologia.com . Only through the Lync online so i can track usage.
Daniel,
On company owned machines, you could remove messenger, and then reduse their permission so that they can't install software.
Hope this helps
Robert
Hi Daniel,
I understand that you prefer to track the usage of Lync Online for your users.
You can refer Robert’s suggestions to work around the issue.
Thanks,Monica Tong
Hi ! Thanks but its dont help me, I need to completely block log on msn messenger, I know this is possible, perhaps with the support of Live Messenger, as suggested ways the user can still log in from a windows phone with msn messenger or a home computer...
Do you mean that you prefer the Office 365 user usernames@nuvemtecnologia.com can only log on Lync client?
To make sure users log on the Lync client smoothly, please set up your network for Lync Online first. http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-enterprises/hh416761.aspx
As far as I know, it’s not available to block the Office 365 users log on msn messenger directly via Lync Online.
If the above information doesn’t answer your question, please provide detailed information about your requirements.
Hi Monica! Thank you very much for your attention to my request, however I believe that my case can not really be answered ...
I still hoped that some http://domains.live.com service could be disabled, but had no success in my research to come up with a decent solution.
The solution I found is to delete the Windows Live ID account, for that users and these only can be connect by Lync Online client.
But how do I protect the company, that its own users enter the web and create new MSN Live IDs? Since they have access to email and can confirm the account creation?
Greetings! Daniel Prietsch
Thank you for your updated reply.
