I have a user that I have added the Sharepoint calender to her outlook. She gets this error:
Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80070005) : 'You do not have permission to view this SharePoint List (Team Site - Calendar). Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 403.'
On other computers different users will get an Office 365 login screen when accessing Sharepoint content, but this user with the problem does not get that login screen and I believe that is what is causing the problem.
I have tried deleteing re-adding all sharepoint data files. Deleting and recreating Sharepoint data files. Creating a new profile. Re-installing Office 2007. Nothing works.
I know this user has proper permissions as her account works fine on a different computer.
As I understand, one of your user tried to connect SharePoint calendar to her Outlook, she uses Outlook 2007. She doesn’t get the login screen for SharePoint Online, however, she get the permission error. Am I right?
In your situation, could you double check with the user which version of Office 2007 she is using (32 bit or 64 bit). Please refer the following link to check whether the machine have met the system requirements:
Small Business http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-smallbusinesses/ff652564.aspx.
Please check whether your user has installed Office 2007 Service Pack 2. And then download and run Office 365 Desktop setup tool:
32bit Office 2007 Standard, yes I installed the 365 Desktop Tool.
Did you get any errors or messages when you run the desktop setup? In the end of the desktop setup, there should be a login screen, please make sure the user is same with the one logged into Office 365 portal.
Furthermore, since Office 365 requires Outlook 2007 with Service Pack 2, could you please check the outlook version as below?
• Click File tab at the top of Outlook
• Click Help and check the version information at the right side
If the issue persists, it will be better if you can post the screen shots with error messages of this problem.
