I had an Imap email account with Network Solutions. Have followed all the steps the start using Exchange online.... changed the CMAP/ MX etc in Network Solutions account. Exchange online could successfully verify my NS domain name and I was able to add my old email and create a new one with my old domain but through Exchange online.
Webmail works fine and I am able to send and receive emails through this route. However, when I try to install a new "Exchange" account in Outlook for MAc 2011.
First I get a prompt saying that "Outlook was redirected to the server www.autodiscover.mycompany.com to get new settings for your account firstname.lastname@example.org". I then allow... and i keep getting this message
If i try to go the manual route (I am in europe)
and put the server https://red002.mail.emea.microsoftonline.com
and directory https://autodiscover-red002.mail.emea.microsoftonline.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
it then prompts me for my password again and says:
"The server for account "Mycompany" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"
I AM GOING CRAZY.... whats the issue??? Why can i join the web portal and webmail, yet it says its a wrong LOGIN.
Could it be because it needs 72hrs and I am trying on the same day?

Thanks for your message. I had indeed tried other servers and used one with the format pod.xxxxx.com something... seems to work now
however, i am still not able to sign in the Microsoft Online services sign in. Please refer to my screen capture above.
I am using the login email@example.com and the correct password and keep getting message above. Can you help with that?
PS: also does microsoft exchange online sync the calendars on blackberry... when i try to add smg on my bbry calendar using the firstname.lastname@example.org email (my microsoft email online login) it never actually appears on my outlook calendar....(while it works with my android)
By the way same thing for Microsoft Online Services Sign in for MAC.... IT doesn't recognise my login/ password...while I am able to connect to the web portal of Echange online!
This is due to a Keychain issue (where the passwords are stored).
After this delete the entry in the keychain access and create a new profile:

The possible solution in Surya's reply is great. For using your vanity domain as the email address of the online mailboxes, have you configured the autodiscover CANE record properly? If you are using an Office 365 for Professionals and small business plan, and have changed the name servers to Office 365 name servers, the autodiscover record should have been created by Office 365, Otherwise, you need to manually create the record in your domain registrar. To do this, please refer to the link below:
After the autodiscover record created correctly, please update your Mac by Set up your Mac for Office 365, and your Outlook for Mac 2011 should be able to detect the correct server name.
If the issue persists, please manually find the server name with the following steps:
1. Login Outlook Web App(OWA), select the dropdown list near the top right question mark and click About.
2. Find the server name as the style https://xxxxx.outlook.com/owa
Regarding to the Microsoft Online Services Sign in for MAC issue, would you please capture a screenshot of the error and post it here?

I couldn't file server with the format https://xxxxx.outlook.com/owa
I found however a pod.wwww.com format in the pop3, imap and smtp settings. I used this one and seems to have worked?? Is that ok?

Apologize for the delay on response. Actually you can find the correct server name in the About page, please note the first step in my previous reply. The server name should not include the https:// and /owa. Would you please try it again?

Glad to hear the Outlook for Mac 2001 is working now. As far as I know, there isn't any tools like Microsoft Online services sign in for Mac users in Office 365. Is that for BPOS? The Sign-In Assistance tool in Office 365 is only for Windows. Please look at Description of Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant (MOS SIA).
The syncing service between Exchange Online and blackberry is hosted by BlackBerry. Currently it is only available for Office 365 E plan users. If you have an Office 365 E plan subscription, you can contact BlackBerry support for this issue.

No... I still have the same question.... there is indeed a sign in assistant for Microsoft Online for MAC.

Still doesn't explain why my username and password are not recognised by this software (refer to my capture above)

I have confirmed that this tool is not used for Office 365, and it is used for the previous Microsoft Online services(BPOS). Please feel free to uninstall it.
