Hi All,

I am creating users in Office 365. I have more than 12000 users and synchronizing  them with AD attributes. I am able to set all properties (using Client Object Model) but can not set their Profile Sub-Types programatically. I don't want to set this manually, as many users may be added in future. Does anyone know how to access user profiles using some script or program and change their profile sub types??

Is it possible to access profile sub type using UserProfileService Web Service (/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx) ??

  • Hello again Bhushan,

This is Justin with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Support.  Thanks for posting your question.

I apologize but unfortunately using a custom program, script, or code to modify properties in the User Profile Service outside of the browser will be out of the support scope for Office 365 moderators.  Also, using PowerShell such as for SharePoint Server will not be available in the current version of SharePoint Online.  As such, you will need to rely on feedback from users of the community to accomplish this method.  Please feel free to repost your progress if a solution is accomplished.

    Thanks and Regards,
