Hi Guys,
We are using a collaboration site. A time ago, I changed my work e-mail under My Settings - User Information. Today, I tried to do the same but I can't do it because the property doesn't appear.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello ArielG,
Shortly after going to your My Site, the issue arises where you are unable to make editing changes to the fields in My Settings in your site collection. This may be changed in a future Service Update unfortunately we do not have a time frame for this.
I will continue to monitor this thread for further posts or questions.
Thanks,

Thanks for coming to the communities with your concerns about editing the work email.
To edit the work email, please follow these instructions:
It may take up to 24 hours for the changes to sync to the Site Collection.
Unfortunately, we are not able to edit the work email address through the My Settings in the Site Collection at this time.
I will continue to monitor this thread if you have any additional questions.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your quick response.
Do you know why at this time we are not able to edit the work email address through the My Settings? A month ago... we can do it.
We need that users can change the e-mail address by yourself.
Is this a temporary situation?
Thanks again!

this definitely breaks alerts on SharePoint sites, that's a pri-0 scenario, isn't it? Needless to say, alerts are a key feature for SharePoint online users.
Also, this definitely used to work until recently, hence looks like a regression.
Thanks for your help!
Hello Ariel,
Unfortunately, if the alerts are breaking you may have to edit or recreate the alerts.
Did you have any further questions?
No more questions. I wish we can solve it soon. Thanks!
