I am working for an .edu and we are currently in the process of migrating to Office 365,
We / I will be supporting around 5k + users and am looking for a any / all basic how to guides ?
Our users have been using Groupwise up until now and i am looking for the very basics here ( previously been an Outlook / exchange user myself )
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated

I understand that you would like to migrate from local on-premises Exchange server to Office 365 and currently, there are more than 5000 users needing to be migrated. Is it right?
In general, Exchange Online provides three types of migration: cutover Exchange migration, staged Exchange migration, and IMAP e-mail migration.
For cutover Exchange migration, we can migrate a maximum of 1,000 mailboxes from your on-premises Exchange organization to the cloud. Therefore, if my understanding is true, it recommends using staged Exchange migration or IMAP migration since there are ore than 5000 mailboxes.

May i just confirm , we are migrating from Novell Groupwise to Office 365 , the reference to exchange / Outlook was my own previous experience.
So i trying to find some basic "How To" guide's for new users who will be accessing 365 , very basic thing's like How to access and update your Calendar , How to add E-mail alias's , how to setup / add new mailing lists , the Global address book , Web access , ....
Our organisation already has an e-mail specialist dealing with the actual migration , but i am looking for guide's ( i work on the IT helpdesk ) and we will be getting calls about how to do this and how do that etc etc .....
Sorry i should have made my request a lot clearer,
PS: I have tried to search the forums but have not had any luck locating "guides" as per say , it seems 365 is a very new product
There is not too much printed material, Maybe Office 365 for dummies will apprear! There are the help sites you could look at

Migration costs can vary highly because take a lot of time, number technical expert, make complete strategies for migration, check other technical aspect.
But a better idea to migrate GroupWise to office 365 at a fraction of that expense and keeping transference funds to any better section and future aspects with saving lots of time.
