I have tried to create mx record to verify domain but have been unable to set up correctly.
my domain is registered on namesbeyond.
in my manage domain I can only add the following
Record Type MX
Sub Domain Name @
IP/CName/NameServer ms16757947.msv1.invalid
MX Priority (Only for MX) 10
Is my red text correct
I would appricate any assistence
What is you domain name and when did you add the MX record?

also looking at the record below the type of record seems incorrect, i would expect to see different wording, ie MX Record or Mail Exchanger rather than IP/CName/Nameserver (as the record is none of these)
Hi Richard
Domain:
the record was added 24hrs ago
I check with mxtoolbox but no record found
this are the only info I can add when creating a mx record. there is no option to add a txt record.

Thanks, that makes sense now, seeing the drop down. There a no records as yet for the MX record, I have tested a few different sites. What is interesting is that there are no MX records at all. You may wish to contact NamesBeyond as it seems to be a propagation issues. I have done a direct lookup via nslookup and that only returns the name servers as the mail server.
There is a third verification method that is used for 1and1 internet, here in the UK. I am not sure if it is posible or will work but might be worth a try;

I thought I was going mad, just realised that I have been posting on your other thread. What 365 plan do you have?
Thanks Alex & Richard
I have created a new mx record without the @
fingers crossed.
Hi ianmrowland,
Thank you for your reply.
I have checked the DNS recorder of your domain "rowland.aero", it still without MX recorder.
Since I checked your DNS recorder, it's host by namesbeyond.com, is it?
If yes, please contact your DNS hosting provider at following links: 1. http://helpdesk.namesbeyond.com/ <--helpdesk 2. http://www.namesbeyond.com/index.php/home/domain <--Domain Online Support. 3. http://www.namesbeyond.com/index.php/home/dm_zonefile#5 <--Article of DNS recorder management.
Thanks, Alex Du
Hi Alex
I have raised the issue with namesbeyond.
The FQA of DNS management on there website you refer to is for clients who host with them. They have two DNS management sytems, one for hosted clients which the article refers to and one for clients who have registered domains with them. I am the latter, on my system I only have three options to add a DNS record, A, CNAME or MX.
Hopefully someone who has faced this issue may respond to this post.
I will continue to monitor this thread if you have any update from your DNS hosting provider.
Dear Alex & Richard
without the @ the domain verified
Many thanks for your help
It is always the simple things!
Glad that you got it sorted.
I am very glad to hear that the issue is resolved and everything is working fine. If you encounter any other problem in the future, welcome back to our forum.
