Learn more about Office 365
Hi kdixonglass,
I understand that you want to redirect your dns to office365. To narrow down your problem, please follow below steps: 1. If you have verified domain successfully on office365, you can move your name server from Melbourne IT to office365. 2. If you don’t want to move name server to Office 365, an alternative way is that you can manually add records at Melbourne IT. You could get these records on Office 365, after you finish domain verify process. a.Sign in MOP from here: portal.microsoftonline.com b.Admin->Domains->Manage DNS

Without a domain name, it is hard to do any checking or a look see. So all I can offer you is a guess;
Did you perform the last step which the "Add domain" wizard and most of the documentation forgot to mention?
