Hi, I have a major incident and need help please.
I renamed our site from 'rst global solutions Team Site' to 'rst global solutions Group' (replaced the Team Site words with Group and now a subsite that was built has disappeared! I had a guy building a database in there and now its gone but all other sites are still there. There goes about 50 hours of work! Can this be recovered?
I went into Sharepoint designer, looked in recycle bin - nothing there. When he created the site I could never see it but gained access through this link he gave me http://www.rst-global.com/TeamSite/resumes

Hi Cooper,
This is Justin with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Support.
Which type of subscription do you have to Office 365? In which way was the Team Site renamed? Was this done at the Title, Description, and Icon page (/TeamSite/_layouts/prjsetng.aspx)? For small business this is hard coated into SharePoint Online and should not be changed. This will also break links and other issues. However, it will not delete content unless the user has done so manually. Try to change the setting back to see if the pages are still in the right location. Please provide more information so that we may properly assist.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
We have a P1 plan. I Just changed the title in SharePoint Designer and nothing else. When I go to the Site Settings page and look in the Title and such I notice that it still shows www.rst-global.com/teamsite in the URL name area. Nothing else seemes affected by this name change so now I am starting to wonder if its not my fault at all but just a coincidence. Like I said, I have 2 other subsites that were not affected by this change I made, nor any consequesnce to the main page which has many libraries in it.
Is it OK to change the Title like I did without fear of loosing links and work? Can you please confirm that I did not change anything of consequence or show me how I can determine that the site settings are still at default?
Also, when the guy was creating the database we were never able to see the subsite in 365 but relied on the link www.rst-global.com/.../resumes which the programmer claims no longer works. This is true. if he tries to recreate the site it says it already exists which gives me hope. I looked in SharePoint Designer and I cannot see the subsite. Is there another way to see it?
Appreciate your assistance. Cooper
Hi, here are the latest development in this issue as reported by our programmer.
I tried to install with following URL: www.rst-global.com/teamsite/northwind rst-global.com/.../northwind www.rst-global.com/northwind
rst-global.com/northwind.With all these four URL, I am getting same error as given in attached image. This suggests that Access Services on SharePoint on Office 365 is not working. This also means that unless this problem is solved by MS, we will not be able to do anything.
and
I am not able to upload any new database so you will not find it online. Access Services is not working now. Only MS can solve this problem. When you upload database via Access Services, it creates the sites automatically. it is not accessible through 365 dashboard.
Justin, any ideas what/why happened and what can be done to resolve this issue?
Jusin,
Can you please assist on this matter? I havent had a reply for a very long time.... Cooper
Hi again Cooper,
Sorry there was no immediate response to your thread. Since the Team Site sub site is set correctly, are you able to find the subsite by going to the Sites and Workspaces page (<domain>.sharepoint.com/TeamSite/_layouts/mngsubwebs.aspx) with an administrator login?
Additionaly, is there any traces of the site located in the Recycle Bin on the bottom left hand side of the team site? Let us know your progress and I will attempt to follow up with you quickly.
Thanks,
Hi Justin,
I am unable to get to the page as indicated above. it comes up 'not found'.
There is no trace of the site in the bin or in the bin under site collection.
I don't think it was deleted by anyone, it just fails to be accessable or viewable.
It is strange that the site was only accessable by following this link: www.rst-global.com/.../resumes but I was never able to see the site through 365 like I can for all other subsites. The site was soley for the database built by the contractor which he created. As you know, then one day it just couldnt be found. I cannot ind any proof that this site exists or ever existed but my business parter did access the site while it was being developed on the address above.
What else would you like me to do or check?
Hello again,
Any sites that exist on your account will be located within the Sites and Workspaces page as detailed above. The address given was an example and must be changed to accommodate your account (in this case http://www.rst-global.com/TeamSite/_layouts/mngsubwebs.aspx). If the site is not there, then it has been deleted or does not exist. If this is true, then you can republish the database with the address you desire.
