Thanks for your update.
Do you mean you’d like to change the default picture in Lync client which showed as below?
According to this situation, to change the default corporate Picture showed in Lync client, we can change our profile picture in Office 365 portal, and it would be synced as the default corporate picture in Lync client.
To change the default profile picture, here are two methods:
a. If you are an E plan user and deployed AD synchronization, you can populate the "thumbnailPhoto" attribute in AD DS;
b. You can add a picture through the Office 365 portal.
For more information, please refer to method 1 & 2 in this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2497721
Note: You may need to wait a period of time for the change to take effect.
After that, you can change your default corporate picture in Lync client.
On the other side, if you mean you want to setup a default picture to all client users, then we may not be able to do so as Alex suggested above.
For more information, please refer to Show my corporate picture.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to post them in the forum.
Did you want to set a default picture to all client users? If so, then admins are unable to set pictures for other users. (It’s a private setting for users.)
Users can change their photos under “my site” or "My profile".
Well, we used to be able to do it. Currently the default is a logo of our company but we wanted to change it. We used to be able to do this..
As far as I know, there is no way to do it on Lync online. Therefore, I would like to know how you did it before. Did you configure it in Lync online?
Thats why I'm asking because I cannot remember. lol. No, it was not done in the Lync Client. It had to be done in the Admin portal on Office 365. I just can't remember where we did it at.
Ahh, ok. Got it. We used to have AD sync going. We don't anymore. Yes, we used the thumbnailPhoto attrib. I wasn't aware that we did it this way.
Thanks for your update. In additon, do you need any further assistance with this issue? If so, please feel free to respond.
