We are investigating how Lync in O365 can help our employees. We do not have Lync on premise and we are located in the netherlands, so we cannot use the enterprise voice of Lync in O365.
My first question concerns the supported devices we can use in this scenario. We have been testing with Lync Certified devices like the Polycom CX100 and the Plantronics Calisto 820 and it seems we cannot use the buttons on these devices to pickup, mute or end calls. Is this because we dont have enterprise voice?
Second question is, can we use Lync Certified devices with O365Lync, like the Polycom CX600 or Polycom CX3000 which need IP-connectivity with Lync?
I understand your concern. Please note that Office 365 is still in beta; so Office 365 team is still evaluating and testing. However, you may send feedback about your concern on the Office 365 website (mymfe.microsoft.com/.../Feedback.aspx).
You couldn’t use Lync Certified devices via Lync Online in Office 365. Since the configuration of Lync Certified devices was set on the Lync Server side, we couldn’t configure it via Lync Online in Office 365.

But what i also would like to know is, if they will work once Enterprise Voice is available in O365? (buttons on Lync-devices And IP-Lync-devices)
