  • My e-mail was working fine for the last couple of days and now all of a sudden people sending me messages are getting the error stated in the subject line.  Is there something I can change besides back to my old e-mail?  I know of one sender using Google mail, I have received e-mails prior today.

If this e-mail is not a good fit for a small business please let me know.  My communication with my customers is critical.  If Microsoft does not support this I would like to know this, as well.

  • Hello Tom,

Were you a previous customer of BPOS?  If so, there are issues when you try to move from BPOS to Office 365 that are easily resolved.  You can actually follow these steps:

First you will need to remove your vanity.com domain from your Office 365 MOP, then call BPOS support at 866-676-6546 choose options 1,1,2,2 and that will get you to ForeFront Protection to remove the remnants of your domain.

Once they have removed the remnants of your domain, re-add and verify it in Office 365 then connect to Remote PowerShell for your Office 365 Account.  You can find the steps to do that at:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../cc952755

Once that is done, run these two commands in PowerShell:

    Set-AcceptedDomain <Domain> -OutboundOnly $true

    Set-AcceptedDomain <Domain>  -OutboundOnly $false

Wait an hour, and send a test message to a user on that domain.
