Update/Refresh Data in list view web part

This question is answered This question is answered

Hi,

Please let me know whether it is possible to reduce the time (15 sec) taken to update/refresh the data in list view web part? If it is possible then please let me know the steps to be taken to reduce the update/refresh time?

I am trying to refresh the data using the "AJAX Options" within the Browser.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Anuj

  • Hi Anuj,

no, that's not possible in the UI. You might be able to achieve it if you subclass the web part, so basically create your own.

As it can be seen at msdn.microsoft.com/.../microsoft.sharepoint.webpartpages.dataformwebpart.autorefreshinterval.aspx, 15 is the minimum, if you try to enter anything below that an Exception will be thrown, and you'll get an error in the UI

  • Hi Anuj,

Rene is correct. 15 seconds is the minimum refresh.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
