Error: Access Denied - Team Site & Edit Website

  • I seem to be having the same problem a few people have had in trying to move everything over to Office 365.

I have amended my DNS and Nameservers @ 123-reg and the Domain appears to be verified and I can view the O365 default webpage.

My website www.12rsf.com is now the O365 default, but when I try to Edit, I just get the Error: Access Denied.

I have tried to go to Team Site as others have spoken about setting up permissions to allow full access, but just clicking on 'Team Site', again, 'Error: Access Denied'.

From reading other articles, I think the problem may be because when I first signed up, I setup a second Admin User (@12rsf.com) and then deleted the original Admin User (@onmicrosoft.com) which I am now led to believe had FULL access rights where the new Admin user does not.

I have re-created the original Admin user, but have no idea if this is the problem or not. I am now completely stuck and have no website .......

  • Hi,

This is Tim with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Support.

I need to make sure that I have all the information correct to assist you in the best way. You are not able to access your Team Site and you are not able to edit your public-facing site, but you are able to browse to your domain and see your website, correct?

Please let me know and I will get you the needed information.

    Thanks,

  • Hi All,

You will need to create service request regarding the issue. I have sent the both of you private messages with what you will need to do.

  • Thanks Tim,

I have submitted request - 1172141479 - the support engineer could not help me, so he has escalated issue to another team (I can't recall the name he took).

I just require someone to give a user account site admin rights - are you able to followup or assist in any way?
