I have installed the list component solution on Office 365 SharePoint Online (activated w/resources) for Dcoument Management with Dynamics CRM 2011.
I get a validation error (security) in CRM 2011 when I try to validate.
Is this even CRM 2011 Online using Office 365 SharePoint for Document Management supported?

Hi
CRM Online works great with Office apps like Outlook.
For more information, see the Dynamics CRM site.
Thanks
Wave
Unfortunately, CRM & O365 are not working well together yet.
This has to do with server side setting called Browser File Handling. more info here:
join the duscussion in support of this change, and or call support as instructed in the post to request the change.
Here is a web cast about how to link the two (skip to about 17:30) where the presenter also mensions the O365 limitation describing it as 'unfortunate'.

The CRM 2011 List Component doesn't support SharePoint Online yet.
Jim,
Yes the CRM Compenent supports Sharepoint Online. The problem is Sharepoint Online doesn't support CRM. You can learn more at the links above.
Thanks for the info re CRM Online and Office 365 Beta issues. As suggested I have reported this issue and hope that they make the change to support CRM Doc Man integration soon.
I got an update from support yesterday and they are saying that this will not be resolved in the Beta. The permissive browser file handling (i.e. PDF) should be in GA but HTC Extentions (i.e. CRM integration) will not be resolved until, probably, the first service update.
Does anyone know if Sharepoint will be linkable to Dynamics CRM when the full version of 365 is launched or not? If it's not going to happen, then we will need to start looking for an alternative, rather than await the launch. Surely the developers know the future plans for 365?
Thanks,
Rob
Has this been resolved? I can not get MS CRM Online TRIAL to connect to our Office 365 Sharepoint Online Site. It says it is becasue of IE settings, but I have set sercurity and privacy as low as it will go and it has not helped.
Are the List Components required for this to work installed by default in Sharepoint Online?
Don
Don,
The CRM list compnents are not installed by default. You have to use the same process to install as you would for Sharepoint on-premises. Unfortunately, the HTC file extension is not an allowed MIME type so the compenents fail on Sharepoint Online.
Supposedly there is an update relating to CRM & SPO due in Q4 2011, but the description fails to mension the HTC issue. We'll see I guess.
