Office 365 Domain Administration - A record IP Address Change

When we first deployed Office 365 we did not have the IP address of our company's website host and used the default Godaddy IP that was in the orginal registrar domain record before switching the name server to MS.  We now have a new IP address but have no way to edit the A(Address) @ record for our domains in the domain manager in Office 365.

Please advise on how this may be able to be accomplished.

Thank you!

  • Hello,

To add an A record, please go to Domain Manager in Office 365 portal, click the custom domain (not the domain), and click DNS Manager, click the New button at left corner and choose A (address) to create the A record. Please check if there is already an @ record for CNAME listed in the DNS records for Microsoft Office 365 part, if so, you need to go back the Domain Manger, click change address to change the SharePoint website address to, then you will be able to add the @ record.
