Hi,

In the current BPOS every time we need to manage a particular clients tenant we need to login seperately for each clients MOAC's site.

I know there is a PARTNER ADMIN CENTRE available but only to a select number of partners that meet a certain criteria.

In O365, will this issue be corrected so that any partners can access and manage client's tenants from any a single interface and the ability to login to this tenants with a single login for administering them?

  • Hi Abby,

There have been many requests for a "partner portal" in Office365, but nothing has been announced at this point.

I aggree with the need to streamline admin access for partners, but there is a significant liability issue to be overcome in order to accomplish this.

    Cheers,
    David

  • Hi David,

I am sure there are and I most say very strongly that Microsft needs to find a way as I find the current management of BPOS portals to be a big annoyance and incovinience. Moreover, as I mentioned above a solution is currently available in the current BPOS but not accessible toall partners.

I suggest that Microsoft uses this module and expand its capabilities.

    Cheers,

    Abby

  • So can someone explain what the partner portal that is referenced in the partner experience module of the 365 Airlift actually represents? I was under the impression that this enabled a partner to manage all their tenants from a single portal?

Also, can someone explain how and when this will be available to partners, and what the criteria are to gaining access please?

  • Abby & Justin,

Thank you for the source on that "Office365 Partner Portal" information.  I was able to get a definitive YES that there will be a Partner Portal made available.  It is being planned for a much broader scope than the BPOS version.

No solid word on criteria and it will not be available during open beta, but it is coming.

    Cheers,
    David

  • Is there an update on the Partner Portal now that we are in GA?  This is becoming vital as I move clients to paid status.

  • I agree. It is not viable manage clients by creating an admin account for each of them. I hope that a single dashboard, with access to all functionality will be available soon.
