To help prevent SPAM, Exchange Online limits the number of recipients a single user can send mail to within a 24 hour period. This limit has affected some companies who need to send many emails. To address this, Exchange Online has updated the 24 hour send limit from 1,500 to 10,000 recipients.
New customers will receive the new limits. The limits for existing customers are being adjusted now and should be applied to all existing customers by the first week of December.

Excellent! It great to heard this.
Several of my customers have devices that send email on recurrent basis and we had to call MS to expand manually the number of emails a users can sent in an 24-hour period. Now, 10,000 messages is a good limit.

Good news
What about limit for Office 365 for education ?
How can I see my daily sending limit?
Thank You Microsoft I found this news from an RSS
www.ittakesateam.net/office-365-news
This is welcome news. How can we know when an account has been upgraded? (Other than exceeding the limit and blocking sending for 24 hours.)
This is great!
Great news...only the upgrade DID NOT finish by the end of the first week and we have clients hitting that limit again and being locked out of their accounts, again. FYI.
does anyone know if there is way to confirm if the limit has processed!
Some of my users are bumping up against this limit, and its fairly detrimental to have a portion of your sales team unable to send any email for a 24 hour period. Is there a workaround? Any way to find out what the status of my userbase is as far as how many emails they are allowed to send to per day? And like #rogerp said is there any way to confirm the limit has been increased?
Hello Everybody,
Welcome to this weeks edition of "This Week @ Microsoft". Thanks to Pete Roden for
@foobar2012: The new limits do not currently apply to Academic SKUs.
@DBM Associates, Druac, rogerp, CaffeyI: The new limits were applied to existing accounts through Dec 2012 and should now be available to all customers. Thanks for your patience and continued support.
Exchange Online is still limiting me to 1,500 emails per day. When will the limit be raised to 10,000? I get the following error on all emails over the 1500 limit:
Undeliverable:
This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again later, or contact your network administrator. Error is [0x80004005-00000000-00000000].
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brent
