Thirteen downloadable training courses targeted at SharePoint end users are now available on Office.com. These video-based courses cover both beginning- and intermediate-level tasks and include a quick reference card that you can refer back to whenever you need a refresher. Subjects include how to work with lists and libraries, creating and managing blogs, posting to a newsfeed, syncing libraries with SkyDrive Pro, and customizing your public website. I have to say, there are some great training videos available for the Office 2013 applications, Lync and SharePoint 2013. I spent some time yesterday reviewing them and downloading the PowerPoint slide shows with the training videos embedded in them.
I think its a great starting point to giving training to staff. The videos can be used as a pre-cursor to an organizations own training content. This might take the form of a live demo after the video, followed by some exercises that staff can carry out during an instructor led training session.
I recommend reviewing each of the Office, Lync and SharePoint sections of these video training courses.
Pick out what you feel is relevant for your organization and download the PPT's for local viewing.
A good place to start are the videos titled "Make the switch to..." These will help staff quickly view the main differences between Office 2013 and earlier versions.
